Fort Lincoln Neighbors:
The company that is responsible for leasing retail space at The Shops at Dakota Crossing has posted information on-line, including a downloadable brochure, that forecasts its plans for leasing space at the shopping center as it is developed. Their website is at: http://www.cbre.us/o/washingtondc/properties/dakota-crossing/Pages/dakota-crossing.aspx
I have attached the brochure they have developed, that can be downloaded. One of the pages, which details the lease signings and projections for retail space at the shopping center, is also pasted below. It is current as of November 2014 and shows 4 major committed tenants (Costco, Loews, Marshalls and Pet Smart), with 1 major anchor store (37,000 square feet) still to be leased, 3 sizable spaces (about 5,000 sq. ft. each) to be leased and 16 smaller spaces available:
The District’s most highly anticipated retail development is finally here. The Shops at Dakota Crossing will bring a destination shopping venue to Northeast DC, drawing crowds from the entire District of Columbia, surrounding neighborhoods, as well as surrounding Maryland and Virginia suburbs. Anchored by top performing Costco and a now under construction Lowes, the project will feature a carefully curated mix of national, regional and local retailers and restaurants.
Strategically perched along the major New York Avenue/Route 50 thoroughfare, the Shops at Dakota Crossing benefits from easy access and excellent visibility to an average of over 100,000 vehicles per day on average. In addition to the commuters and visitors on New York Ave, the Shops are convenient to the residents of adjacent Fort Lincoln neighborhood – one of the most vibrant and successful planned residential communities in the areas.
